We operate 5 days a week from 7:30am-5:30pm. We close for federal holidays, as well as a summer break in July and a winter break in December.

We utilize a play-based educational model focusing on environments, interactions and experiences. Children learn by doing, and our teacher’s facilitated and guide children with developmentally appropriate materials in structured and child-led approaches.

Go to our Enrollment page, and download an application. Applications are accepted year round, with priority given to siblings and returning families.
We have an application fee of $75 which we can process via check or cash.

Yes! Eligible families can receive assistance with child care costs based on income guideline materials, For more information on the State of Tennessee Child Care Certificate Program, please visit the TN DHS Website.

Our History
Buntyn Preschool began as a ministry at Buntyn Presbyterian Church in 1946 as the women of the church sought to support working mothers in Orange Mound. Since then, Buntyn Preschool we have grown and adapted to the evolving needs of families in our community with generations of families returning to our small community. Today, Buntyn Preschool is it’s own 501c3 offering year round care and learning for ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. Because of our small size, teachers and children are able to form deep relationships that enable thriving. We pride ourselves in offering all staff, including substitutes and after care, competitive wages in order to provide the best care. Space is extremely limited, and our classes fill up quickly.
